‘VISHAKHA SAMITI’
The Institute has set up a sexual harassment prevention cell named as ‘VISHAKHA SAMITI’ under POSH through which problems of female students and staff are solved regarding various issues like infrastructure and behavioral aspects. The vishakha samiti is displayed in the campus. The girl students are allowed to place a complaint orally,written or online. The name of the complainer is kept secret. Action to resolve the complaint depends upon the complexity of the issue. Mostly the cases are resolved by counseling by the vishakha samiti members . If the matter does not resolve , the complaint is put forth to the principal and higher authorities.
Safety and security
Nearby Police Station’s contact number and toll-free helpline numbers are displayed on college boards and websites. 37 CCTV cameras are installed in all campuses especially at the entrance gate of the campus, library, office, all class rooms, exam rooms, all floor open areas, parking slots as well as open areas around the buildings to ensure safety and security of girl students as well as staff members. Dedicated 4TB hard disk for back-up of CCTV camera recording is available. CCTV surveillance can be monitored from the Principals Cabin.
health awareness
The college arranges a health awareness program for women. For easy access of sanitary napkin Vending machine is placed in the ladies’ washroom for health security to girls’ students on those crucial days .All students, faculty and staff members are given ID cards. It is mandatory for all students to show an identity card at the entrance gate & wear the same all the time they are in the campus so as to avoid interference of external members .
Counseling.
To educate the students regarding safety, the institute conducts various programs related to safety and security of girl students under the guidance of Vishakha Committee.
The counseling is provided for psychological support to the girl’s students of the college, with respect to various issues of which gender-related issues are a substantial part such as career guidance, health, career plans, personal issues, stress, constitutional rights and responsibility.
School Bus
The college provides a free bus facility to girl students from nearby villages so that they can come to college regularly without any problem. The girl students especially those who are not having regular traveling facilities.
girls hostel
The college provides a girls hostel at a minimum rate to students who are not able to travel regularly. A girl hostel is made easily available to girl students
The college celebrates national and international commemorative days like International Women Day, Republic Day, Independence day, Mahila mukti din, Computer Literacy Day, University Name Extension Day, Maharashtra Day, Mahaparinirvan Day, Marathwada Mukti Sangram Day, Science Day, Constitution Day, Muknayak Din etc events like gathering, sports competition , welcome function etc..
