The library reading section provides seating accommodation to a minimum fifty students at a time. An internet facility is available to the users of the library. The library is extensively used by both the students and faculty. There is a reading room with comfortable seating available. Library visiting register is maintained by both teachers and students. The books are arranged subject wise and display boards are arranged to guide the users. Textbooks, reference books and competitive examination books are all available in the library. The collection includes more than 2248 books, 7 journals and magazines, 7 newspapers and 34 back volumes of the periodicals. CCTV cameras are installed for strict surveillance in the library. The issue and return of books have been managed by library staff.
The library was providing services mostly through a manual system. However, keeping in mind the present-day requirements, we have started the process of automating the services. Library is partially automated moving towards fully automation and ICT sources are provided to maximize use of library collection. There are 12 Computers in the library, all of the computer systems have internet connectivity. The library of the College is computerized with the LIBMAN Library Management System from The MasterSoft ERP Solutions Pvt.Ltd., Nagpur, India based company. Students can search and reserve the books using OPAC. The Barcode facility is available in the software. The Books and Borrower tickets are bar-coded for the fastening issuance of Books. The status of the book can be seen using the OPAC. Books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme and cataloged according to AACR II. The software has an excellent Support and Updates system.
The college library is a member of the NLIST Program of the UGC-INFLIBNET Centre for the purpose of accessing electronic resources like Sodhaganga and Shodhsindhu. Under the program, we have access to more than 6000 full text electronic journals and 31,35,000 full text electronic books through a login username and password.
